This was followed by travelling around the world which have strengthened my passion for the art of food.
This passion originates from a love of food products, the many possibilities of what can be done with them, to make them sublime; but mostly the knowledge of sharing emotions.

Alexandre ScottExecutive Chef
Alexandre comes to The National Art Gallery of Canada fresh from a stretch in the local hospitality industry. After graduation from the Culinary Institute Alexandre spent the next 20 years cooking in the vibrant and demanding Paris scene and with the Fairmont Hotels, four season and Sheraton. Chef Scott then spent several years leading the kitchen brigade at the Palais des Congrès where he seamlessly served glamourous functions that ranged from 100 to 1500 guests. Chef Scott has also garnered numerous accolades throughout his career.
Like Gourmet Cuisine, Chef Scott embraces the philosophy of serving impeccably prepared dishes crafted to evoke full flavors through the use of the highest quality seasonal ingredients, creative composition and sound cooking technique.
